Spring Beauties!

After a long winter of leaf~less trees and dull brown grass, I get excessively excited about blooming flowers. Especially, the ones in my yard! I love flowers so whole~heartedly and it makes me feel warm inside to see the blossoms coming from the ground that I placed there myself. I even braved my broken camera to try to snag a decent picture.

The lovely orange beauties pictured above are a type of tulip (don't ask me what kind, 'cause they were not what was on the package and if you know....do tell please).
The sweet and sassy cuties below come up year after year and it doesn't take long before they are dripping over the sides of the tree box. I have no idea what they are but they sure are pretty!

Stay tuned for more colorful posts. I noticed today that my most beautiful bulbs are coming up! As much as I love all my other flowers they are ordinary in comparison to my Rembrandt tulips! They are simply Stunning!

Haley Update!

I took Haley to the pediatric dentist in Hendersonville today! We went to this one because she was very anxious at the last one and they thought Dr. Denton was better equipped to handle her. Well, she showed them.......she was so good while she was there. She also loved meeting the very nurse that took care of me while I was pregnant with her. Anyway, she let them take x-rays of her teeth which she thought was very cool. After that he examined her teeth and said that he saw absolutely no decay, cavities or anything of concern. He said there was nothing that would merit her going through any more dental visits for a while. So we made an appointment for six months from now! YAY Haley.....YAY Mommy!!!!! Now, I just have to take the boys!

Mmm ~ Mmm....Good!

Anyone for Que so Dip? I love this one....best I've ever had!

2 blocks of Processed Mexican dipping cheese
one with jalapenos and the other without. (usually found near dairy)
5-7 oz. can of green chilies, mostly drained
1 can petite diced tomatoes, mostly drained
1/4 -1/3 cup milk

Cube cheese into crock pot. Add chilies, tomatoes and milk. Heat until melted, stirring occasionally. Serve with tortilla chips. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I know it's not a very precise recipe but I experimented a little and you should too! It's really easy and hard to mess up. The only thing that changed about mine from time to time is the consistency. If you like it thicker or thinner adjust the milk and drain the chilies/tomatoes more or less. If you like it hot use both blocks with jalapeno. If serving as an appetizer use yellow and blue corn tortilla chips for added color.

Eat Your Frog!

An old saying, "If the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long!"

We all have things that we must do on a day to day basis regardless of our desire to put them off until tomorrow. It may be washing clothes, going for a power walk, grocery shopping, taking vitamins or simply stepping on the Dreaded scale! The list goes on and on! I know that last one is a kicker for me! Well, if you remember this old saying and "Eat your Frog" the rest of the day will be much more enjoyable than putting off and dreading the inevitable.

P.S. If you have to eat two frogs....eat the ugliest one first!

Warning: don't read if you are eating.....

First of all, I must be doing something right because I was one of only 8 people in my Anatomy class that passed the last exam we had. Only one of those 8 got an A.....7 were B's.........I got a B....84! Secondly, we dissected a sheep's brain tonight. I did suprisingly better than I thought I would for my first experience. I actually had to take over for my male lab partner who got disgusted. What is up with that by the way? Oh well, I did it and I was no where near as green as some of my fellow classmates.

Thank You Becky!

I tried the Sesame Chicken recipe that Becky posted and it's a hit at my house. Kojak loves sesame chicken from the Great Wall down the road but now he doesn't have to go to town to get it. The kids enjoyed it too. Honestly, I'm not the best cook.....heck I'm lucky if I can find my way to the kitchen......but this recipe is a keeper. I might learn how to cook afterall.......LOL!!!!! Thanks again Becky!

Did you know......

there are approximately 700 muscles in the human body? I didn't.....but now I do! And I can tell you where and what just about all of them are! I'm in information overload......hehehe! Now, on to the brain! Woo Whoo!

Oh My......

Today was Haley's first dentist appointment! She did really well...at first! They looked at her teeth and she was fine but when they started the cleaning she kind of freaked! That's when they called me back. I think she got scared of being in that chair and being laid back like that! The dentist suggested that I start making her lay back when I brush her teeth.....I hope that will help. Anyway, she got a little crazy! So she has 4 small surface cavities and needs to have some fillings so they don't get worse. The only problem is I will need to take her to an office in Hendersonville that is equipped to give her a little something to calm her nerves! That scares me a little! I would never let her know that of course! Anyway, if anybody has any knowledge or experience with kids and nitrous oxide please let me know!
Now, I'll be looking forward to James & Cameron's first trip to the dentist.......argh!

Last time...I Promise......

Maybe! LOL!!!
So as you can see I changed my layout again! I've been trying to find something that I really like, that's easy on the eyes and that I can have fun with! So here it is.....I think it suits me! It's cheery and cute although sometimes I'm not! Anyway, my widgets were erased again so I have to replace them......again! Becky, I went to that site you posted about but I didn't find the answer to my widget problem.....oh well! I am still HTML challenged! Okay, I'm done.....until next time!

Good news....

Yes, I'm going to brag for a minute......mainly because I am proud of myself! I found out that my grade average for the semester so far in Anatomy & Physiology is 84.6! That's a B! So I think I'm doing pretty good considering this is the hardest class I've ever taken. I've heard that this class with the instructor I have is even harder than Microbiology! She is a good one! Anyway that's my bragging for the moment!
I'm taking Haley to her first dentist appointment on Thursday so I will let you all know how that goes!
Further news, I think that James & Cameron are trying to play some kind of cruel game on their dear old mother. For the last few days they have taken turns getting up at like 4am. This is very unusual for my boys because they have always been good sleepers. I put them to bed around 9 and they usually sleep until 7 or 8. So, we've been playing this game where they get up and I chase them back to bed a hundred times from about 4am to around 7:30 when Daddy gets home. I'm just wondering is this a phase they are going through or is this the start of years of trickery to drive Mommy crazy? I guess we'll know soon enough!

Bad news folks.........

Well, it may be a while before I can post any pictures of the kids! My camera apparently got dropped off the couch and possibly stepped on! It no longer has a functional screen......boo!!!! I called Kodak and they told me that the ESTIMATED cost of repair is $80 plus S&H. The word estimated kinda scares me! Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to take that chance or if it would be better to get another camera! They told me they would give me 15% off any camera I choose! So I guess until I figure that out the pictures will be few and far between! Wish me luck on my endeavor to deal with this problem before the kids go off to college!
