We all took a Saturday morning trip to the Jamestown flea market because Poppie needed a new belt and wallet. And of course Nana came home with a new baby! Her name is Duchess, she was born on New Years Day and she is a Sharpei. She's got more wrinkles than all the Golden Girls combined! Nana is thrilled! Some of you may not know but our first Sharpei, Lily died from cancer about 2 years ago! She appeared in our lives on the side of Highway 221 and she immediately attached herself to Mom. When she passed away Mom was devastated and swore off dogs completely but when she saw Duchess it was love at first sight. Lily was an amazingly wonderful dog & a faithful companion and we are sure that Duchess is going to be a real gem!

Well, we finally got a bigger vehicle. We've had the Honda since before Haley was born and we've been long overdue for a new one. The Honda is a really good car but it's just not big enough for 3 kids. They've been crammed like sardines in that back seat for long enough. Daddy found this car and brought it to our attention nad we loved it! It's a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, Limited Edition. It has so much more room than the Honda for the kids and for extra stuff we need. It will be so much easier to take those long trips to the coast. We are taking a trip to Raleigh this weekend for Jo's birthday so we will see how well she does.

Update........

Ok, so my kids are not fans of the doctor's office....(understatement)..... they were not happy at all. They were up to date already on their shots but they did have to endure the finger stick....not a good time! James weighs 29 lbs and is 36 in. tall. Cameron is 30 lbs and 36 in. tall! They are both in the 80th percentile for their age in height and about 70th percentile in weight. Doc said they are doing fine and growing very well. Haley kept asking me if she was going to get poked to and I couldn't seem to make her understand that she was not......I think she thought we were trying to trick her or something! So all is well on the hill again!
We are hoping to get started again on the boys room and are looking forward to it being finished in the next few....4....5 months! LOL! I hope it's soon! I'll try to keep pictures posted as it comes along!

News From The Hill......

Well, I took my first exam in Anatomy & Physiology last week and I made an 83. I think that isn't too bad considering the class average was 63. So......YAY ME!!!!!! Plus now I know a little more about what to expect! Also, last week was the end of Campaign 3 for Avon and I have advanced to Unit Leader! So, YAY ME again!!!! We are taking James & Cameron for their 2 year check-up tomorrow morning & I'll post the new numbers tomorrow afternoon! So stay tuned for more info!!!!!
